Went to city on 31 Dec 2006, arrived at Pyrmont around 5pm and lurked there until well past midnight.
The place was packed by midnight, but the spot was good enough for us to see 4 sets of fireworks, plus a few that people seemed to be letting off on their own.
It was quite windy.
I have some photos, but I can't seem to get the exposure right.. they're faint and sort of boring.
The fireworks were alright. No huge bang this year, which I was waiting for. Disappointing.

Wade and friends never showed up.

Spent 2hrs getting back out of the city. Relieved to find that Net147 is still talking to me. Really wanted to watch the fireworks with him, but he wouldn't come due to loud noise, and I thought I shouldn't intrude at his place.
