Woke up this morning at 0100, 0500, 0700, and finally got out of bed at 0730. Ate a breakfast of raisin toast with nutella, and milk. It was tasty. Played pool until 0855, then went to do archery (again). This time was much better; I hit the yellow balloon that was up there yesterday, and Derek hit the purple balloon that was put up after I popped the yellow one. The English made a repeater for the longbow: once one arrow was fired, the next would drop down into place. But it still had to be notched. Bowstrings are easily made too. 16? strands of... daker?, then wrap with black stuff, then use a square tool thing to set the nocking ring. Karen almost shot a butterfly.
Found out later that archery actually cost money to do. Today, it was counted as half an hour (even though we actually did 45min), costing $10 per person. Yesterday was counted as an hour, costing $20 per person. All up, we spent $90 on archery, which was much fun. O_o Karen took a photo of the guy, who had a grandson named Sam. Sam was helping pick up the arrows.
Left around 1000, went to Kangaroo Valley, into the Mungarool(?) National Park to see a waterfall (Fitzroy Falls). Took pictures. Ran into (not literally) Pomzoid while walking back from seeing the waterfall. (wtf.) Got free maps, and asked the ranger (who was oddly good looking) in the souvenir area about Barrington Tops maps. They used to have them, but didn't anymore. Then continued through Kangaroo valley. Parents did much arguing after the ancient bridge was crossed, over a parking spot. Got away from them to take pictures of the bridge. Went to the side of the bridge to an area (cliff?) above the river get pictures of the river below, and was scratched by very sharp plants. Surprisingly, the cuts bled a tiny bit. Did not take pictures of the plants. Shared two very good scoops of chocolate and hazelnut gelato with siblings. Kept the pretty take-away cup and fluoro spoons. Then went on to Moss Vale.
Arrived there around 1600, spent an hour wandering around the main town area: IGA Tuckerbag, parked car at swimming pool, library was closed, Bi-Lo, the park (got butterfly photos), crossed the road to the bookshop (a driver didn't give way to pedestrians, but luckily wasn't run over), back to IGA Tuckerbag to buy two bbq chickens and some other stuff (like toothbrushes and toothpaste, which were apparently left at home), then to accommodation, a cabin. Which was overly hot.
Salad (lettuce, carrots, avocado, beans, cherry tomatoes, potatoes) and bbq chicken for dinner. Very tasty. Banana and yoghurt for 'dessert'. Also tasty.
