Woke up on a Saturday morning (gasp die) to attend the audition for the ABC choir thing. There are some really good choirs participating!
Then went for lunch. Waited HALF AN HOUR because the restaurant was full and we had a group of five. *sigh*
Then took the train, intending to go home.
Slept. Woke up and got to the doors just as the train was LEAVING the station. Kicked the doors twice.
Ended up getting a lift from Pennant Hills to Tillius' place, and from there, to Castle Towers to get food and watch a movie.
V for Vendetta was actually pretty good. I feel sorry for the detective, always one step behind. Swords are cool. Have to admit the masks are pretty disturbing when there's a huge wave of them coming at you like that.
*edit* FOUND IT!
"VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."
I am so going to learn the meaning of half of these words. I'll start with vicissitudes - means 'regular change'.
